KDPW_TR Trade Repository Receives the Bloomberg Businessweek Polska Award
The KDPW Trade Repository service (KDPW_TR) has received the prestigious Business Premium 2014 award presented for the first time by the editors of Bloomberg Businessweek Polska. The awards were presented in Warsaw on 21 October 2014. KDPW President & CEO Iwona Sroka received the award from Editor-in-Chief Cezary Szymanek.
The magazine’s Business Premium awards went to companies which provide innovative services to other businesses and thus support the development of business in Poland.
“It is a great honour for the Central Securities Depository of Poland to be awarded for the development of a service which improves the safety of the financial market,” said KDPW President & CEO Iwona Sroka. “We offer a complementary package of services for the financial industry to ensure that all post-trade services are available in Poland,” said Ms Sroka.
The Central Securities Depository of Poland has launched the KDPW Trade Repository service which allows entities bound by the reporting obligation to report details of concluded derivatives trades. The solution derives from post-crisis measures taken in the EU. KDPW_TR is one of six trade repositories in Europe and one of the first four to be registered by the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA). KDPW_CCP offers a service of reporting details of cleared derivatives trades to KDPW_TR free of charge.
KDPW creates a vibrant group of companies which offer a complementary package of clearing, corporate actions, settlement, data collection, and numbering agency services. The group is comprised of two companies: the central securities depository (CSD) KDPW and the clearing house KDPW_CCP. KDPW operates the trade repository KDPW_TR.
