It will present examples of disproportionate EU regulations, deficient implementation of EU regulations in national law, as well as goldplating which curbs competitiveness of financial institutions and makes the local market less attractive. Another strand in the debate is to propose measures necessary to improve the quality of the institutional setup of supervision over the financial market, to make the financial market more competitive, and to enhance trust in financial market institutions.

The debate will present examples of financial market supervision models in several countries of the world in order to highlight solutions which could be considered for implementation in Poland.

The roundtable discussion of financial market reformers was inspired by issues involved in the drafting of financial market regulation, its implementation in national law and practical application, as well as the functioning of the financial market supervision system.
