Iwona Sroka Named Pearl of Polish Business 2011
Iwona Sroka, the President and CEO of the National Depository for Securities, has been awarded in the Pearls of Polish Business 2011 ranking published by the weekly Gazeta Finansowa, a list of the most entrepreneurial Polish businesswomen.
The weekly has awarded 50 Polish businesswomen who are the most organised, entrepreneurial and decisive and can also reconcile a professional career with family life.
Since July 2009, Iwona Sroka heads the National Depository for Securities and since July 2011 also the company KDPW_CCP, a clearing house on the Polish capital market.
Educated at the Warsaw School of Economics, where she obtained her Ph.D. in Economics (Management Science). Member of the Board of Directors of the European Central Securities Depositories Association (ECSDA), member of the Payment System Council at the National Bank of Poland, member of the Board of the 2065 Lesław A. Paga Foundation, member of the Supervisory Board of the Capital Market Education Foundation, member of the Board of the Foundation for Youth Entrepreneurship.
Academic lecturer at the Warsaw School of Economics, Assistant Professor at the Chair of National Economy, Department of Management, University of Warsaw, affiliated with the Polish Academy of Sciences.
