The creation of KDPW_CCP has strengthened the international position of the Polish capital market and has been acknowledged by the market, especially due to the reduction of counterparty risk. The process has been strongly supported by the Polish financial market community.
According to international standards, due to the different risk profile of services provided by a CCP clearing house and of the core business of the central securities depository (KDPW), it was necessary to establish a stand-alone entity providing clearing house services: KDPW_CCP.
